Sandstone

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of sand-sized minerals. Most sandstone is composed of quartz and feldspar which are the most common minerals in the Earth’s crust. Sandstone forms in a wide variety of colours, the most common being tan, brown, yellow, red, gray and white. Certain colors of sandstone have been strongly identified with certain regions and our NSW sandstone has very distinctive colour and grain.

Our sandstone has a good resistance to weathering, yet is easy to work with making it an ideal building and paving material. Sandstone has a high quality feel and can add value to a building or development but what many people don’t realise is that sandstone is more affordable than they may think.
